 The Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM) and the Abhay Bhutada Foundation have partnered in a transformative scholarship program aimed at empowering Maheshwari students. This collaboration celebrates merit and addresses financial challenges, ensuring that deserving students can achieve their educational aspirations. Held annually in Pune, the scholarship distribution ceremony is a testament to the power of education to change lives.

A Collaboration Rooted in Purpose

Education is the foundation of progress, and this partnership exemplifies how collective efforts can bridge gaps. The MVPM and Abhay Bhutada Foundation’s shared commitment to fostering talent and providing opportunities reflects their dedication to community welfare.

Two Streams of Opportunity

The scholarships cater to two groups of students:

  1. Merit-Based Scholarships:

    • Ten students demonstrating exceptional academic performance are awarded INR 1 lakh each. This financial boost encourages continued excellence and innovation.

  2. Need-Based Scholarships:

    • Fifteen students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds receive INR 1 lakh each, ensuring that financial constraints do not impede their pursuit of education.

A Rigorous Selection Process

Transparency and fairness are at the core of the selection process. Eligible candidates must belong to the Maheshwari community and reside in the MVPM hostel. Applications are submitted through an online portal, with the 2024 submissions open from 15th to 31st July. A joint committee reviews the applications from 1st to 7th August, followed by interviews for shortlisted candidates conducted from 8th to 14th August. The final list of recipients was announced on 16th August.

Recognizing Achievement

The scholarship distribution ceremony, held at Shri Shrikantji Rathi Memorial Hall in Shivaji Nagar, Pune, is a highlight of the academic calendar. This year, the event featured Abhay Bhutada, founder and chairman of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, as the chief guest. Beginning at 11 AM, the ceremony celebrated the resilience, dedication, and achievements of the recipients.
