Visitors to Shivsrushti in Pune will now be able to experience its historical offerings for just Rs 50 between May 15 and July 15, 2025. This has been made possible through a Rs 51 lakh contribution from the Abhay Bhutada Foundation. The move is aimed at increasing public access to cultural and educational experiences without financial limitations.

Abhay Bhutada, a member of the Poonawalla Group and the founder of the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, has consistently supported causes that uplift communities through knowledge and learning. The subsidised entry initiative is in line with that broader goal—enabling people, especially families and students, to engage with Indian history in an immersive and thoughtful manner.

This donation is intended to increase footfall at Shivsrushti, encouraging more people to engage with the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The park has been designed to educate and inspire, featuring several attractions that detail important moments from Shivaji Maharaj’s life.

From warfare strategies and spiritual values to governance and administration, the exhibits offer a wide view of his contribution to India’s history. The idea is not just to narrate history, but to involve people in a journey through time.

A Theme Park Built with a Purpose

Shivsrushti occupies 21 acres in Ambegaon Budruk and is one of the few historical parks that blend traditional narratives with modern technology. Built around the vision of the late historian Babasaheb Purandare, the park was created to provide an educational space that also entertains.

It includes advanced elements like holography and projection mapping to recreate the story of Shivaji Maharaj. One of the most appreciated attractions is the Time Machine Theatre, which allows visitors to relive important milestones of history in a highly engaging format.
